Description

Creativity is more than simply standing out — it’s about turning something simple into something truly special.
Easy to use, the Janome Memory Craft 1000 lets the world see your imagination expressed through sewing and embroidery.

Refresh old garments and breathe new life into yesterday’s textiles with 300 stitches, 241 built-in embroidery designs, and 11 fonts for lettering and monograms — including support for Croatian characters (Č, Ć, Š, Đ, Ž) directly on the machine.

Designed with practical, budget-conscious creatives in mind, the Janome MC1000 offers versatile editing functions, easy threading, thread break detection, automatic thread cutting, and the option to embroider in a single color.

Be different. Be bold.
Janome makes every project fun and rewarding — every piece becomes one of a kind.

Easy selection of sewing programs

With a simple tap on the machine’s screen, you can easily select the desired sewing program.

Automatic buttonhole sewing

Buttonholes are fully automatic — based on your button, the machine creates the buttonhole on its own. The result is a professional finish: the buttonhole is reinforced first so it won’t twist and will look neat on the fabric, then it is stitched, and finally reinforced again to prevent fraying.

The machine offers multiple buttonhole styles — some are designed for jersey fabrics, others for cotton and silk, while others are decorative (keyhole) for jackets, denim, and similar materials.

300 built-in stitches with preset settings

When you select any of the 300 built-in stitches on the Janome Memory Craft 1000, the machine automatically loads the recommended settings for the selected stitch and suggests the most suitable presser foot for it.
Try new stitches with complete confidence — every result will be neat, precise, and beautifully finished.

Magnetic needle plate

To switch the needle plate from zigzag to straight stitch, insert the included screwdriver into the slot at the front of the needle plate and gently lift upward. The magnetic attachment will release, allowing for a quick and easy plate change without unscrewing any screws.

Thoughtfully designed features

Versatile and thoughtfully designed with sewers’ needs in mind. The MC1000, with built-in storage in the free arm, allows convenient storage of many included accessories.

Top-loading bobbin with a full rotary hook

Thanks to the top-loading bobbin system with a full rotary hook, changing and checking the lower thread has never been easier.

Embroidery

Rear-mounted embroidery unit

By mounting the embroidery unit at the back of the machine rather than on the side, the machine keeps a compact shape and takes up minimal space. The embroidery arm opens quickly with a single lever movement, so the machine is immediately ready for embroidery.
The embroidery unit is fully integrated into the machine’s construction, making it easy to carry, transport, and store.

Edit embroidery right on the screen

On the 3.5″ touchscreen you can easily resize, rotate, mirror designs, or change thread colors. The machine also enables more advanced editing, such as duplicating and combining patterns and letters, creating arched monograms, and much more.
You’ll be surprised how many customization options you can achieve directly on the machine, without any additional software.

Easy hoop tightening

Hooping fabric can require quite a bit of force — but not with the new Easy Hoop Tightening System. Align the fabric and insert the inner hoop while the lever is fully released.
Push the lever about halfway to lightly tighten the hoop for final fabric positioning, then push it all the way for a secure, fully tightened hold.

Free-arm embroidery

Some projects were once considered almost impossible to embroider on home embroidery machines — such as baby bodysuits, jacket cuffs, trouser legs, or other tubular items. Often, seams had to be unpicked so the garment could lie flat, then stitched back up after embroidery.
Optional free-arm embroidery hoops completely change the workflow. They allow you to slide the garment around the machine’s free arm, enabling fast, accurate embroidery in tight spaces or on finished items — without extra steps.

Optical bobbin thread monitoring

Nothing is more frustrating than realizing your upper thread has stitched out because the bobbin ran empty. The optical bobbin sensor uses light technology to monitor the amount of thread on the bobbin and automatically stops the embroidery.
The machine alerts you in time when the bobbin thread is running low, so you can wind a new bobbin and avoid interruptions or errors.

Advanced needle threader

The advanced needle threader makes threading the needle simple, fast, and accurate every time. Just guide the thread through the marked path, pull the lever down and release it — the thread is automatically pulled through the eye of the needle.

Easy, fast access to customer support

Customer support is available with just one QR code. By scanning the QR code on the machine with your smartphone, you open an online support library with helpful materials, including instructions and useful tips for using the machine.
